WHO? ME? A COLUMNIST?

Ah, the smell of ink, the roar of the presses, the fever of the deadline – my return to the printed media reached fruition today. I grew up in the newspaper business. GETTING HIGH ON EASTER!

Easter Sunday was gorgeous here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The day dawned clear and warm with promises of almost summer like temps in the valley. I was pleased to be able to join up with Cross Country Stan for an afternoon climb…

GREETINGS FROM THE LOW COUNTRY OF S.C.

The Navigator and I have arrived and settled into the daily grind of being on vacation. I know – it’s a dirty job but someone has to do it… An uneventful ride down I-26 on Saturday brought us to The Edge of America as Folly Beach is known. The trip down was notable for me for two reasons…

CYCLING BLOOMING LIKE IT IS SPRING!

All around me, cycling “stuff” seems to be popping out of the ground just like the spring flowers now making their presence known. Seems as if everywhere I turn, some item related to cycling is making itself known. And, well, that is a …
