Darcy was immediately helpful when I spoke with her and apparently responded as quickly to Jim when he called. The odds that someone could reach out on the internet to someone they have never connected with before and have that lead to a resolution to an unknown (to them) cyclist within in 4 or 5 miles must be beyond mathmatical description. And then, to top it off, for the immediate solution to be a family member of the first person contacted is, well, even more amazing!

I'm looking forward to the outcome of Jim and Raphael's talk this evening. I, too, hope it works out for Jim to continue on with the TOD. If not, I still think that Jim will find this to be a fulfilling adventure. When I spoke with him he was in good spirits and not at all concerned that he wasn't doing well. I keep reminding myself that Jim is an Army Ranger and has seen much worse circumstances than this little setback. :)

Later,

ZekeAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01296442059471583594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4630751179432853395.post-10775431213927804292010-06-16T19:12:33.253-04:002010-06-16T19:12:33.253-04:00Thank goodness for special people like Darcy and t...Thank goodness for special people like Darcy and the lady who came to his aid. Ah, those sweet angels.

It's ashame about some of the occurances, but he has to know that many are rooting for him and his tour with Fargo. And if the TOD goes on without him, so be it. Tho I hope that some resolve comes out of the situation.

As little as I know about biking in a group the one thing I do know is that I would never leave another cyclist unless it had been previously discussed. This is what has surprised me about the whole thing as I thought they would be together thru the thick and thin of the tour.

Am glad that he has friends, like you Zeke, that are online and able to give him the needed assisstance. If you speak to him again, please, give him my best wishes for a safe journey home.

Cheers for Jim and Fargo.
Later...MicheleMichelenoreply@blogger.com
